Ecobank Cameroon S.A is currently recruiting a dedicated, proactive, and highly organized professional to fill the position of Head of Ecobank Business Services (EBS). This leadership role demands strong operational capabilities and a readiness to work across the national territory.

Role Overview

The Head of Ecobank Business Services will be responsible for leading, managing, and optimizing all business services operations within the affiliate. This includes procurement, vendor management, facilities management, logistics, property oversight, and health & safety compliance. The role requires an individual with strong project management experience, financial acumen, and a solid understanding of infrastructure-related risk and compliance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement best practices and policies for EBS activities.

  • Ensure all Ecobank buildings are structurally sound and compliant with health and safety standards.

  • Oversee building and infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

  • Collaborate on Group-level contracts and initiatives involving Business Services.

  • Promote ethical and professional relationships with all vendors and service providers.

  • Lead vendor relationship management, travel, logistics, and facilities operations across the affiliate.

Key Duties

  • Centralize procurement processes to ensure cost efficiency and value.

  • Analyze and present cost-benefit assessments for all EBS-related projects.

  • Monitor project finances, including budgeting, cash flow, and capital expenditure.

  • Ensure timely capitalization of capital project expenses in coordination with the Finance team.

  • Implement robust vendor and consultant performance evaluations.

  • Drive a culture of safety through workplace hazard mitigation and compliance initiatives.

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the EBS team and external contractors to achieve high performance.

  • Oversee lease management, including renewals, rent escalations, and landlord relationships.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date property schedules and statutory compliance data.

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of third-party payments.

  • Manage interactions with government agencies for permits and regulatory adherence.

  • Implement and maintain an archiving system for business services documentation.

  • Supervise planned maintenance and facility upgrades annually.

  • Maintain a secure, clean, and conducive environment for employees and visitors.

  • Track and report on space utilization, building density, and occupancy efficiency.

  • Provide regular reports on lease agreements, property valuation, and operational costs.

  • Optimize the use of company vehicles and logistics assets.

  • Lead the recruitment, training, and development of the EBS team.

  • Work closely with the Group Head of EBS to align structures and strategies.

  • Continuously identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans.

Professional Profile

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a Postgraduate Degree (such as an MBA) and at least 10 years of experience following qualification. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record in:

  • Logistics, Procurement, Facility Management, and Property Strategy Development and Implementation

  • Setting clear business strategies, translating them into measurable objectives, and inspiring teams to achieve high performance

  • Managing and developing relationships with staff, contractors, and service providers

  • Actively identifying and engaging with high-potential service partners

  • Navigating and leading through change management

  • Strong leadership abilities and proven team collaboration skills

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Solid program management capabilities

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A good first degree in a Property-related discipline

  • Professional membership with a recognized industry body

  • Deep understanding of service delivery excellence and strategic operations management
