Position Overview

Grassland Cameroon Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Head of Operations to lead and manage his Operations, Production, Procurement, and Logistics departments. This senior leadership position works closely with the CEO to align operational strategy with business objectives and drive sustainable growth.

The Head of Operations will play a critical role in strategic planning, execution, and team management, while ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and consistent delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Organizational Leadership

• Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the company’s mission and business goals.

• Oversee end-to-end operations to ensure seamless integration between departments.

• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance team productivity, service consistency, and employee growth.

• Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate performance, drive improvements, and manage risk.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives and special projects as delegated by the CEO.

• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Operations Management

• Lead the implementation of the outgrower program and crop diversification strategy.

• Supervise the training and development programs for farmers and field agents, ensuring relevance and impact.

• Design effective input distribution systems that are cost-efficient and scalable.

• Monitor field operations and ensure SOP compliance across teams.

• Support business development efforts by ensuring team alignment with growth objectives and performance metrics.

Procurement & Logistics

• Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and implement cost-effective grain purchasing strategies.

• Ensure timely and resource-efficient procurement and logistics planning.

• Assess and forecast operational needs across departments, aligning resources with strategic priorities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience in operations management, team leadership, business strategy, and finance.

• Master’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Strong bilingual communication skills (English and French).

• Proven ability to lead organizational change and manage large-scale transitions.

• Effective team leadership skills, with a collaborative and inclusive approach.

• Experience working with diverse teams across functional areas.

• At least 3 years in a senior leadership role, with demonstrated impact.

• Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, and ability to manage competing priorities.
