Key Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical field, preferably in food manufacturing or the consumer goods industry. Relevant roles include Engineer Supervisor, Industrial Services, M&I, or E&A/MES Engineer.

Job Summary:

Nestlé Cameroon is seeking a Maintenance and Improvement (M&I) Engineer to enhance operations by ensuring that maintenance activities are aligned with safety, product quality, environmental standards, and operational efficiency. This role provides engineering leadership in maintenance processes (TPM-PM) at the factory level.

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintenance & Improvement (M&I): Ensure high-performing operations through effective asset management. Utilize Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Asset Management Maintenance (AMM) to maximize the life cycle of fixed assets. Support the management of technical stores.
• Budget Management: Create and manage the maintenance budget, adhering to Nestlé’s guidelines. This includes justification, requests, implementation, tracking, and reporting.
• Electrical & Automation (E&A) / MES: Oversee the maintenance of electrical services and ensure that automation systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) meet production requirements.
• Energy/Water/SHE Management: Ensure optimal energy and water consumption while respecting Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) policies. Manage the Nestlé Environmental Management Tool (NEMT) and Nestlé Environmental Sustainability Tool (NEST) to achieve sustainability targets.

What Will Make You Successful?

• At least 3 years of experience in a technical role within the food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
• Previous involvement in Maintenance & Improvement (M&I) or Factory Engineering College.
• Experience in managing maintenance budgets, including exposure to TPM and preventive maintenance practices.
• Supervisory experience with technical teams (mechanical, electrical, contractors, suppliers).
• Experience in engineering improvement projects, with a focus on technical equipment for production or industrial services.
• Participation in start-ups or commissioning of production lines, preferably in the food industry.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary teams focusing on process or packaging optimization.
