Key Responsibilities
Project & Change Management
- Participate in the RAFM (Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management) change management process to ensure that all project and operational changes are properly risk-assessed and approved before implementation.
- Contribute to cross-functional RAFM change management forums across all business units, offering guidance to minimize revenue leakage.
- Provide expertise in both new and existing projects by advising on control and process-related aspects to effectively manage risks, and improve control and process efficiency.
- Work closely with project teams to define test strategies, ensuring RAFM requirements are integrated into product and systems designs and thoroughly tested before approval.
Operational Effectiveness
- Propose innovative methods and models to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of RAFM operations teams.
- Design, update, and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of RAFM policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring they are effectively utilized by all operations teams.
- Ensure all RAFM documentation follows MTN Group standards and templates. Where necessary, you will design these standards to ensure consistency and clarity across policies, procedures, and processes.
Controls & Processes Effectiveness
- Coordinate RAFM risk assessment and conduct a business requirements analysis aligned with the organization’s mission statement.
- Evaluate the secondary control environment and recommend measures to enhance its robustness and comprehensiveness, ensuring effective risk management.
- Design and implement primary and secondary controls to mitigate risk.
- Identify gaps and weaknesses in existing controls and processes through regular assessments across all business units, proposing corrective actions to address them.
- Drive improvements to the primary control environment by collaborating with control owners and demonstrating the value of robust primary controls.
- Recommend alternative approaches for process enhancements in revenue leakage risk management, balancing commercial and business constraints.
- Provide periodic reports on RAFM control coverage and process effectiveness, promoting continuous improvement.
Data Quality Assurance, Governance, Security, and Audit
- Assist the Controls & Processes Manager in preparing risk registers, risk response plans, and following up on internal/external audit findings to ensure cost-effective compliance.
- Consolidate input from the RAFM team for both internal and external audits.
- Prepare reports on unresolved governance issues relating to RAFM.
- Implement and maintain data quality assurance processes to prevent errors, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure data security, manage access, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Communication
- Proactively promote RAFM initiatives to customers and stakeholders across all business units, leading awareness campaigns and surveys.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders affected by RAFM activities to encourage engagement and cooperation.
Customer Satisfaction
- Foster strong relationships with all customers and stakeholders across business units, responding promptly to inquiries and ensuring efficient communication.
- Educate stakeholders on the role of RAFM and how they can contribute to and benefit from it.
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum of a First Degree.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in IT/GRC.
- Supervisory experience is an advantage.
- Experience in medium-sized organizations.
- Knowledge of SQL and Python is beneficial.
