Ensure successful project implementation by:

• Executing Strategy: Delivering high-quality implementation of the project’s strategic plan.
• Technical Support: Providing comprehensive technical assistance for Nutrition and Livelihoods activities, ensuring donor compliance in reporting and budget monitoring.
• In-depth Analysis: Conducting thorough primary and secondary assessments of the nutritional and livelihood situation, emphasizing gender, inclusion, and diversity considerations, aligned with project objectives and country strategy.
• Assessment Coordination: Coordinating surveys and rapid assessments, encompassing training, planning, analysis, and reporting, while ensuring adherence to protocols and effective field supervision.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Fostering effective coordination and networking with relevant stakeholders to promote humanitarian and development programming within established nutrition and livelihood policies. Active participation in coordination meetings.
• Project Oversight: Assuming overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, and operationalization of Nutrition and Livelihood activities within the project.

The Ideal Candidate:

We seek a professional with a post-graduate degree in nutrition, animal sciences, agronomy, or a related field, demonstrating a strong understanding of nutrition, food security, and livelihood programming. The Nutrition and Livelihoods Officer should possess extensive experience in humanitarian programming related to nutrition, food security, and sustainable livelihoods across diverse intervention areas. This individual should also have expertise in community-based management of malnutrition and a deep understanding of the significance of gender, inclusion, and diversity in the planning and implementation of nutrition and livelihood activities. Knowledge of the socio-economic context of the Far North region, particularly the departments of Mayo-Sava, Mayo Tsanaga, Logone et Chari, is essential.
