Professional Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related discipline.

Nestlé Cameroon is currently seeking a Procurement Operations Support / Local Buyer to oversee transactional procurement activities, ensure accurate documentation, and manage day-to-day purchasing processes in a timely and efficient manner, guaranteeing uninterrupted supply of goods and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure delivery of agreed service levels to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for selected spend categories managed at market level.
  • Manage sourcing activities using digital procurement platforms (e.g., Ariba, Fairmarkit, EasyBuy).
  • Provide clear visibility on procurement requests, including status updates and expected completion timelines.
  • Ensure requesters receive all necessary documentation for PR creation in SAP or EasyBuy (e.g., pro forma invoices, single-source justification forms, approved OTV forms, contract details, down payment documents, completed PO after invoice, and other relevant approvals).
  • Initiate vendor master data creation and updates in SAP.
  • Engage and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Initiate and process down payments and ensure proper clearance.
  • Monitor utilization of VES systems.
  • Process and coordinate modifications to SAP purchase orders based on supplier feedback.
  • Track and ensure timely conversion of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs) by the NGBS CoS team.
  • Follow up and resolve escalated procurement issues, including key Procurement Performance Indicators (PPIs) such as:
    1. Parked invoices (excluding “No Goods Receipt/Service Entry Sheet”)
    2. Blocked invoices
    3. GR/IR reconciliation and resolution
    4. Vendor payment issues
    5. Past due POs without GR
    6. POs with partial GR/SES or invoicing
    7. POs created after invoice issuance

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

  • Recent graduate in Purchasing & Supply Chain (Bachelor’s or Diploma) or Social Sciences field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Supply Chain, International Trade, or similar roles.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and French.
