Recruitment Notice: 35 Psychosocial Counsellors+20 Data Collectors

Job Advertisement: Recruitment of 35 Adult and Pediatric Psychosocial Counselor Agents (APS) and 20 Data Collectors (ACRR) in the North West Region

The North West Regional Delegation of Public Health, in partnership with the North West Regional Technical Group for HIV and AIDS Control, is seeking to hire psychosocial agents (APS) to support individuals living with HIV, as well as data collectors (ACRR) responsible for managing and reporting HIV data in various health facilities throughout the North West Region.

Background

In alignment with the implementation of the Cycle 7 Grant from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (2024-2026), the Regional Technical Group for HIV/AIDS Control in the North West Region (RTG HIV NW) plans to recruit 35 psychosocial counsellors and 20 data collectors. These positions will be funded by the GC7 budget from the Global Fund and will be stationed at designated treatment centers (CTA/UPEC) within the region. The hired staff will assist people living with HIV in managing their health and navigating the therapeutic process.

Important Notice: Eligibility and Application Guidelines

Ineligible Candidates

The following individuals are not eligible to apply:

  • Minors under the age of 18
  • Adults who have reached the retirement age of 60
  • Government employees (civil servants and government contractors with an active registration number or those in the process of being integrated)
  • Individuals who have resigned, abandoned their duties, or were dismissed by RTG HIV NW during previous grant cycles (NFM1, NFM2, NFM3)

Candidates are only allowed to apply for one position. Submitting applications for multiple positions will result in immediate disqualification. Incomplete applications will not be considered, regardless of the missing document.

Selection Procedures

The selection process for candidates includes:

  1. Examination of the application file
  2. Interview with the jury, and possibly a practical test

Submission of Applications

Applications must be written in English or French and submitted by 3:30 p.m. local time on June 21, 2024. Applications should be in a sealed, unmarked envelope, submitted in five (05) copies (one original and four copies). The application must be registered and acknowledged at the office of the Regional Technical Group for the fight against HIV and AIDS, located at the Bamenda Regional Hospital Premises.
