Job Summary

CIBLE RH is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Radio Operator to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Radio Operator is to handle incoming and outgoing calls related to company business using various communication devices such as switchboards, cellular phones, and radios.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Attend HSSE/Departmental meetings during off-duty hours.
  2. Execute assigned tasks as outlined in the emergency response plan, including participating in drills and providing assistance when required.
  3. Ensure the safety and security of crew and passengers by monitoring helicopter flights and tracking vessels.
  4. Maintain accurate tracking records of boat movements under your supervision.
  5. Take ownership of the upkeep and availability of all telecom equipment, assuming responsibility for their maintenance.
  6. Utilize various communication means, including satellite phones, VHF radios, cellular phones, UHF radios, and emails, to transmit messages to relevant parties, particularly vessels, offshore platforms, and helicopters.
  7. Conduct regular inspections and routine tests on all communication equipment to ensure compliance with operational standards at all times.
  8. Coordinate radio-related activities to locate and establish contact with missing or distressed helicopters and vessels.
  9. Uphold the company’s reputation during phone interactions, acting as the primary point of contact.
  10. Handle incoming and outgoing faxes efficiently and accurately.
  11. Manage all mail, both internal and external correspondence, and coordinate parcel services as required.
  12. Maintain a detailed log of phone calls for tracking and payment purposes, including night and weekend vehicle dispatches.

Responsibilities for Ensuring Guards’ Alertness and Communication

  1. Ensuring the guards at all locations remain alert by maintaining routine VHF Radio contact.
  2. Managing duty team telephone communication during shifts through regular evening checks.

Coordinating Duty Driver’s Movements and Emergency Repairs

  1. Coordinating the movement of duty drivers outside normal working hours, on weekends, and public holidays.
  2. Following up on emergency repair calls, including generator, plumbing, and electrical issues, at company locations after normal working hours, weekends, and public holidays.

HSSE Accountabilities

  1. Adhering to the company’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) management system.
  2. Participating in HSSE intervention schemes (APIPP, incident reporting, site visits) and awareness sessions (HSSE meetings, events, and trainings).
  3. Promoting and enhancing the company’s HSSE culture and performance.

Key Challenges

  1. Collaborating with technical stakeholders to ensure equipment maintenance and availability.
  2. Maintaining focus during helicopter flying operations.
  3. Interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  4. Handling multiple tasks simultaneously within strict timelines while maintaining focus.
