Overview:

Cible Rh is currently seeking a qualified Facilities Engineer (Chemical/Process) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading small to medium-sized projects in the facilities sector, specifically focusing on chemical and process engineering. From the initial definition phase to project completion, you will oversee various aspects of the project, including design, engineering, construction contracts, and commissioning activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct process engineering design, sizing, and flow scheme calculations for piping, pipelines, vessels, valves, and other equipment on minor offshore facilities projects.
  2. Conduct feasibility studies, concept selection, and detailed design for upgrade projects.
  3. Ensure the safe and timely delivery of projects within budget, adhering to company policies and specifications.
  4. Act as the contract holder or company representative for associated contracts, coordinating the delivery of technical support during construction.
  5. Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the operations department.
  6. Ensure compliance with the company’s HSE management system, both in personal actions and in contractor activities.

Critical Project Support Required

  1. Detail Engineering and Safety Projects:
  • Provide support for the detailed engineering design, construction, installation, and commissioning of minor upgrade projects and other projects aimed at ensuring asset integrity and process safety.
  1. Inspection and Audit Closeout:
  • Assist in closing out inspection and audit action items based on pipeline inspection reports and other audit actions.
  1. Shutdown Planning and Documentation:
  • Support the preparation and planning of the 2024 shutdown and document the necessary processes and procedures.
  1. Critical Valve Assessment and Replacement:
  • Perform assessments of critical valves and develop plans for replacing defective valves that pose process safety risks across the entire MA field.
  1. Corrosion Mitigation:
  • Provide support for corrosion mitigation efforts on the offshore assets.
  1. Pipeline Inspection and Integrity Management:
  • Assist in activities related to pipeline inspection and the management of integrity.

HSSE Accountabilities

  • Design and Select Safe Engineering Processes:
  • Ensure the selection and design of engineering processes that prioritize safety within the facility.
  • Active Participation in HSSE Initiatives:
  • Engage in various HSSE intervention schemes such as APIPP, incident reporting, site visits, as well as HSSE meetings, events, and training sessions to promote and enhance the company’s HSSE culture and performance.
  • Emergency Procedure Understanding:
  • Familiarize oneself with the emergency procedure and comply with the related requirements.
  • Leading HSSE Engagement:
  • Act as a role model to improve HSSE engagement within the direct team, section, and department.

Key Challenges

  • Meeting HSE, Budget, Schedule, and Quality Requirements:
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and standards while adhering to the allocated budget, project schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Resource Utilization:
  • Efficiently utilize resources from both internal and external departments to support project requirements.
  • Managing a Diverse Project Team:
  • Lead a project team consisting of both full-time and part-time dedicated staff, fostering effective collaboration and coordination.
  • Brown Field Project Execution:
  • Coordinate project development and execution within a brown field environment, addressing challenges associated with existing infrastructure and operational constraints.

Competence & Requirements

  1. Educational Background and Technical Skills
  • Possess a B.Sc. degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline (Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum).
  • Proficient in using the Aspen Tech HYSYS process simulator.
  • Familiar with process safety management.
  • Knowledgeable in equipment selection and sizing.
    • Aware of other relevant engineering disciplines.
  1. Experience and Personal Attributes
  • Have 3-5 years of experience in the industry, preferably related to oil and gas.
  • Be a motivated individual with excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and a positive attitude.
  • Capable of working in a highly diverse, multicultural, and multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
