Position Overview

Access Bank (Cameroon) Plc is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Manager to lead the daily operations of one of its key branches. This is a strategic leadership role that requires strong business acumen, effective team management, and excellent customer relationship skills.

Key Responsibilities

As a Branch Manager, you will:

  • Lead and oversee branch operations, ensuring all activities align with the bank’s goals and regulatory standards.

  • Drive business growth by increasing deposits and loans, while actively developing and mentoring branch staff.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Implement local marketing strategies to promote the bank’s products and services within the community.

  • Monitor financial performance, controlling income and expenses to maximize branch profitability.

  • Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Serve as a representative of the bank within the local business and community landscape.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the banking sector.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a social sciences-related discipline (Economics, Business Administration, etc.).

  • An MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIB, CFA) will be an added advantage.

  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role within a bank is highly preferred.

Key Competencies and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, policies, procedures, and financial products.

  • Proven experience in business development, marketing, and relationship management.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability and team management experience.

  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and nurture professional networks.
