The Government of Quebec, in collaboration with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), is offering scholarships to French-speaking students who want to study in Quebec, Canada. These scholarships cover the additional tuition fees, enabling recipients to pay the same tuition fees as Quebec students. Additionally, students will receive a monthly stipend, assistance with installation, a round-trip flight ticket, and travel insurance. All fields of study are eligible, and the application deadline is April 15, 2024.

The scholarships covering the exemption from additional tuition fees are provided by the Government of Quebec, while the other benefits are administered by AUF. This program targets graduates from AUF member higher education institutions who wish to pursue master’s or doctoral studies at any Francophone institution in Quebec.

  1. Exemption from Additional Tuition Fees: Selected candidates under the Quebec additional tuition fee exemption scholarship program will enjoy the following perks:
  • Waiver of additional tuition fees, granting access to the Quebec student tuition fee structure. For instance, instead of the regular $19,000 CAD per year for a master’s program, the student’s fee reduces to $2,800 CAD annually.
  • Contribution towards a round-trip economy class flight ticket, capped at a value of €1,900.
  • Provision of travel insurance.
  • Installation grant payment of €1,000 in the first year.
  • Annual lump sum allowance of €1,000.

Admission Criteria for the Program 2. Eligibility Requirements: This call applies to candidates admitted to the fall 2024 session who fulfill the following two criteria:

  • Holding a bachelor’s degree (for master’s programs) or a master’s degree (for doctoral programs) from an AUF member institution situated in a qualifying region.
  • Securing admission to a master’s or doctoral program conducted in French at a Francophone institution in Quebec.
