The Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) is excited to introduce its Emerging Talents Capacity Building Programme (SET-CAB), aimed at fostering the professional development of young professionals from OIC Member Countries. This initiative seeks to create a dynamic learning experience to support the growth and career advancement of participants.
SET-CAB offers ambitious young individuals the chance to engage with key economic and social challenges affecting the Islamic World, while gaining hands-on experience in a global environment. Participants will collaborate with experienced professionals across various sectors, expanding their expertise and skills in areas of personal and professional interest. This immersive approach not only prepares participants for future career opportunities but also nurtures a sense of global responsibility and a commitment to the progress of the Islamic World.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Participants will enhance their expertise by engaging in various activities, including but not limited to:
- Gathering, organizing, processing, and analyzing statistical data
- Assisting with departmental file maintenance and database management
- Conducting research, data visualization, and reporting on socio-economic topics
- Developing and implementing training and capacity-building initiatives
- Preparing partnership agreements, concept papers, and Terms of Reference (ToR) documents
- Executing projects and assignments
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with social media content creation, visual design, and presentation drafting
- Translating technical documents
- Providing IT and publication support, as well as aiding the SESRIC library
- Facilitating effective communication networks
Eligibility Criteria and Application Guidelines
The SET-CAB is open to students from OIC Member Countries currently enrolled in a full-time degree program (BA/BSc, MA/MSc, DPhil/PhD).
Candidates with academic backgrounds in fields such as statistics, economics, business administration, finance, international relations, political science, public administration, social sciences, or related areas are encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in English is a prerequisite, while fluency in one of the other OIC official languages (Arabic or French) is a valuable asset. Additionally, applicants with expertise in translation, web development, data analysis, software development, graphic design, and library management are highly encouraged to apply.

Please be aware that participants are responsible for their own visa arrangements and living costs. The programme will take place at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara, Türkiye, for a minimum duration of four weeks. A certificate will be awarded to those who successfully complete the programme.
