Interns are responsible for covering living expenses, accommodation, travel, and other necessities. However, they may receive a stipend to assist with basic daily expenses during the internship if they do not receive financial support from any institution or program, such as a university, government, foundation, or scholarship program. The stipend amount is determined based on the intern’s agreed-upon work location, which might differ from the duty station of the hiring office in cases of remote arrangements.
