We are currently seeking a qualified Finance and Support Services Manager (FSSM) to join our team in Cameroon. This position involves leading the oversight of finance and administration for Sightsavers within the Cameroon Country Office. Reporting directly to the Country Director, the FSSM will be tasked with monitoring resource management at the country level and identifying potential risks or challenges.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective financial management and risk mitigation by adhering to local regulations and organizational Financial Framework.
  • Implement financial controls, including planning, budgeting, monitoring, and audits.
  • Maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage logistics and procurement of supplies to support country office operations.
  • Oversee administrative functions, including payroll and IT equipment maintenance, in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with program and finance teams to enhance financial management, accountability, and capacity building of partners.
  • Assist in reviewing program/project reports, planning, and analysis with finance teams.
  • Support proper financial and resource management of programs.
  • Review project planning, monitoring reports, and fund audits.

Skills and Experience

  • Possession of a relevant professional accounting qualification or a tertiary degree in Finance and Accounting (e.g., CPA/ACCA/MBA).
  • Extensive WorkPro experience, preferably acquired in international development within a similar capacity. Experience with audit and government organizations is also advantageous.
  • Demonstrated work history in financial management, program/project management, and administration.
  • Proficiency in project financial management, budgeting, and data analysis.
  • Substantial experience in grant management (e.g., EC, FCDO, Irish Aid, or USAID).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel within Cameroon as needed.
  • Ability to work autonomously.

The recruitment process comprises three stages. The initial stage involves a 90-minute written task. Successful candidates will then proceed to a virtual Teams interview lasting up to 1 hour. A final virtual interview with the Regional Director may be required. Interviews are anticipated to commence from the week of May 13, 2024, onwards.
