Dangote Industries is recruiting a Quality Management System Manager
Summary:
The QMS Manager is the driving force behind our organization’s commitment to quality excellence. This individual leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant standards. The QMS Manager champions a culture of quality, fostering a deep understanding of customer expectations and proactively addressing risks to product/service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Act as the primary advisor to senior management on all QMS-related matters.
- Develop and implement a robust QMS strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring the QMS remains adaptable and effective.
- System Design and Optimization:
- Lead the design, documentation, and maintenance of comprehensive QMS processes, procedures, and standards.
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify and prioritize opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformances promptly and effectively.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Prepare for and manage both internal and external audits (surveillance and certification).
- Act as the designated Management Representative for interactions with certification bodies.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable quality standards and regulations.
- Team Building and Training:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive QMS training programs for employees at all levels.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness and ownership throughout the organization.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives to address quality issues collaboratively.
- Customer Focus:
- Conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys and analyze feedback to drive improvements.
- Champion the use of customer insights to enhance product/service quality and exceed expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain the organization’s ISO 9001:2015 certified QMS
- Conduct internal audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans
- Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives
- Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Management Sciences with a specialization in Quality Management or a related field
- Certified Lead Auditor/Implementer ISO 9001:2015
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in implementing and/or maintaining a QMS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
