We are currently seeking a Senior Legal & Tax Consultant for a full-time on-site role located in Douala. As a consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal and tax advice to our clients. Your responsibilities will include analyzing the legal and tax implications of various business transactions and investments, developing effective tax planning strategies, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing legal and tax documents, negotiating contracts, and overseeing a team of legal and tax staff. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide training on legal and tax issues to further enhance the knowledge and skills of our team.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we require the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in legal and tax consulting, with expertise in corporate and commercial law, tax law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills to effectively address complex legal and tax issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and colleagues.
- The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in both English and French is required to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
