In the position of Key Accounts Coordinator for Landside Transportation in Cameroon, your responsibilities will include ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of customer deliveries within specified transit times. Your role will involve executing, supporting, and coordinating daily operational tasks related to Maersk shipments. This entails maintaining adherence to agreed procedures and ensuring the timely delivery of results. Additionally, you will collaborate with suppliers and optimize transport planning through triangulation to enhance service delivery efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Regularly monitor the progress of files and keep Front Line Staff informed to ensure timely actions and track progress.
  2. Implement operational strategies that reduce costs while maintaining safety and reliability standards, along with efficient planning.
  3. Proactively identify and prevent additional costs such as storages, demurrage, and detention; analyze reasons for any incurred costs and suggest improvement actions.
  4. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including truckers, Customs, shipping lines, terminals, etc., to improve operational efficiency.
  5. Coordinate with suppliers to optimize transport planning using triangulation methods.
  6. Ensure visibility of cargo throughout the delivery chains and promptly update systems.
  7. Drive improvements in key processes to boost productivity and service levels, ensuring on-time delivery.
  8. Address customer complaints promptly and provide feedback to internal teams on challenges affecting service delivery or cost changes.

Who We Are Looking For:

  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics and landside transportation.
  2. Solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills.
  3. In-depth knowledge of local logistics operations and systems.
  4. Proficiency in planning and stakeholder management.
  5. Strong execution mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a team and prioritize customer satisfaction.
  7. Cost-conscious with a focus on optimization.
  8. Proficiency in both written and verbal English and French is required.
