UBA Cameroon is recruiting a CREDIT CONTROL TEAM MEMBER – CEMAC HUB.
- Job Title: CREDIT CONTROL TEAM MEMBER – CEMAC HUB

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that approved credit facilities align with the bank’s policies and regulatory requirements.
- Verify that credit approvers adhere to the credit signing limits outlined in the bank’s credit policy.
- Review all pre-disbursement and collateral conditions to ensure compliance prior to releasing funds or issuing bonds, guarantees, or ISPOs.
- Process deferral and waiver requests, ensuring proper approvals are obtained to address any documentation gaps.
- Issue bonds, guarantees, and ISPOs in accordance with approvals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Quality of Credit Review: Ensuring thorough and accurate credit reviews.
- Timely and Accurate Pre-disbursement Review: Guarantee all loans are reviewed and processed efficiently.
- Risk Awareness: Promote risk awareness across the bank through targeted campaigns on credit documentation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all regulatory frameworks, avoiding penalties or infractions.
- Achieve a Non-Performing Loan (NPL) Ratio of less than 3%.
- Maintain zero infractions related to external audits or regulatory reviews on credit risk management.
- Timely Reporting: Deliver management reports promptly and accurately.
- Ensure that all conditions precedent, as per policy and regulatory guidelines, are fully satisfied before loan disbursement.
- Issuance of CACOMS and conveyance of approvals in line with approved terms.
- Issue bonds and guarantees following the approved terms and conditions.
Minimum Education Qualifications:
- University degree (BA in Law, LLM, MBA, MSc, MA, ML).
- Professional qualifications are an advantage.
Work Experience:
- Legal documentation and/or Credit Risk Management experience.
Key Competencies:
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of Credit Risk Management.
- Expertise in reviewing Legal Documentation.
- Strong knowledge of the bank’s products, services, and processes.
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment.
- Practical knowledge in Credit Analysis and Credit Risk Management.
- Extensive understanding of the bank’s credit policies.
- Knowledge of Central Bank policies and regulations and their impact on the business environment.
- Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ability to translate business needs into operational actions.
- Sound understanding of Banking Laws and regulations.
- Strong grasp of macroeconomic environments.
