Enko Education is recruiting a Senior M&A Officer to lead the charge in acquiring schools with vigor and to play a pivotal role in establishing our complete M&A framework and capabilities. We are seeking a proactive trailblazer with exceptional analytical and collaborative abilities to revolutionize African education, one acquisition at a time. Role Overview

Responsibilities

At the heart of our mission lies the strategic integration of African schools into our network, shaping them into the premier choice for international education on the continent. Our objective is to enhance access to leading universities for learners across Africa. Currently, we are focused on streamlining the fragmented landscape of K12 schools throughout the continent by acquiring institutions with the potential to evolve into African International Schools. In this capacity, you will lead the comprehensive execution of our acquisition efforts, from assisting in crafting compelling term sheets to finalizing transactions.

Tasks Illustration

  1. Origination:
  • Assist in origination efforts.
  • Aid in the development of the term sheet.
  1. Execution:
  • Formulate compelling acquisition offers, guiding them from the term sheet phase to closure.
  • Take charge of all due diligence processes, refining analyses across technical, legal, financial, fiscal, and commercial aspects.
  • Direct the legal drafting procedures.
  • Secure critical success factors such as project financing and growth initiatives.
  • Facilitate a seamless transition to integration and operational teams.
  1. Socialization and Momentum Creation:
  • Construct and document the acquisition rationale to support decision-making.
  • Generate momentum and ensure adherence to all deadlines for prompt execution.
  • Assist in establishing our M&A capabilities.

You’ll collaborate closely with the CEO, Head of Expansion, and Group CFO, fostering strong communication channels. Engaging with our Strategic Committee, you’ll provide regular updates to our Board. Successful outcomes will pave the way for an expanded scope as we enhance our capabilities.
