EVIHDAF is a leading international research and development organization based in Yaoundé, Cameroon, serving the West and Central Africa regions. Our multidisciplinary team consists of both English and French-speaking professionals, offering innovative and comprehensive services in research, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (RMEL), data analytics, social and behavior change (SBC), and research capacity strengthening. Our organization is further supported by global consultants connected to prestigious universities, and we maintain operational offices in Niamey, Niger, and Parakou, Benin.
We specialize in key areas including Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH), Maternal and Child Nutrition (MIYCN), malaria, infectious diseases, and humanitarian and vulnerable contexts. As we prepare for a new USAID-funded project in Sexual and Reproductive Health (ISR-SRH), we are actively seeking a highly qualified Senior Manager/Director, Finance & Administration to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
General Finance & Administration:
- Lead and supervise the finance and administration teams, overseeing annual goal setting and performance appraisals.
- Ensure legal compliance, risk management, and proper insurance coverage across multiple countries.
- Manage and update organizational policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with local regulations, EVIHDAF’s standards, and donor requirements.
- Oversee the development of budgets, financial reporting, and ensure timely submission to donors.
Contract Management:
- Oversee contract creation, execution, and management for various stakeholders, including institutions, consultants, and vendors.
- Negotiate, execute, and maintain various contracts, ensuring compliance and strong business relationships with partners.
Financial Analysis:
- Manage all aspects of financial data analysis, ensuring that project funds are efficiently monitored.
- Provide budget analysis for projects and ensure compliance with donor guidelines.
Costing & Pricing:
- Support the organization’s business development efforts by leading the development of competitive cost proposals.
- Develop and analyze proposal budgets to meet the financial requirements of donors like USAID.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management within the health or development sectors in Africa.
- Proven expertise in USG/USAID-funded programs, with knowledge of regulations on indirect costs and NICRA.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure and lead both independently and within teams.
- Proficiency in English and French is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in contract management, cost and pricing, and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with USAID-funded projects and an ability to collaborate with U.S. government agencies.
- Experience working across the West and Central Africa region is highly preferred.
