About Us
Local Youth Corner Cameroon (LOYOC) is a national, non-profit, youth-led organization founded in 2002 with a mission to empower young people, promote their inclusion in decision-making processes, and foster their active participation in development initiatives.
We are committed to building peace, preventing conflict, and countering youth radicalization and violent extremism through a multifaceted approach that includes training, peer education, sports, policy advocacy, and research. We strive to create an enabling environment where young people can reach their full potential.
As a youth-led organization, we embrace a Positive Youth Development approach that focuses on nurturing the strengths and skills of young people, enhancing their sense of agency, providing opportunities for meaningful contributions, and cultivating a supportive environment.
With our headquarters in Yaoundé, we currently operate from four offices across Cameroon. We are always seeking visionary and passionate young peacebuilders to join our team and help us advance our mission.
