Seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) Manager

We are in search of a capable individual to fill the role of PMO Manager for one of our esteemed clients in the Telecom sector.

Purpose of the PMO Manager Role

Your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain the Project Management Office, ensuring the implementation of industry best practices while aligning with the organization’s strategic objectives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, executives, and stakeholders will be integral to drive project management excellence and contribute to the successful execution of the company’s strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  1. Establish and Lead the PMO: Define the structure, processes, and methodologies of the Project Management Office.
  2. Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and implement PMO policies and procedures to standardize project management practices.
  3. Team Leadership: Build and nurture a high-performing team of project managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for professional development.
  4. Cultivate Collaborative Culture: Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the PMO.
  5. Strategic Oversight: Provide strategic oversight and direction for project portfolio management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  6. Resource Allocation: Collaborate with senior management to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively.
  7. Methodology Implementation: Define and implement project management methodologies, ensuring consistency and adherence across all projects.
  8. Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain project documentation and reporting standards.
  9. Stakeholder Relationship Management: Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and project teams.
  10. Communication: Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.
  11. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the PMO and across project management practices.
  12. Enhancing Project Delivery Efficiency: Implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP or other relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Proven leadership experience in project management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a successful track record in leading project teams.
  • Profound knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project risks, issues, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to think strategically and align project initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving industry environment.
