Position: WFK Assistant Security Manager
Location: Yaoundé, Cameroon
Contract: Three-month initial contract, renewable
About KOICA
The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is a government-funded organization dedicated to grant aid programs. Established in 1991, KOICA strives to alleviate poverty and foster sustainable socio-economic development in partner countries, while strengthening bilateral relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety Management:
- Ensure the safety and security of KOICA volunteers and staff.
- Conduct regular security briefings.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local law enforcement.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies.
- Liaise with security forces as needed.
- Conduct security assessments in regions where volunteers are deployed.
- Monitor surveillance systems and supervise security personnel.
- Coordinate medical check-ups for volunteers.
- Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive security reports (weekly and monthly).
- Gather monthly news related to Official Development Assistance (ODA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in security, safety, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in security management.
- Experience working with international development organizations or agencies is an asset.
- Fluency in both English and French, particularly in written communication.
- Proficiency in office software and computer applications.
- Ability to work independently under pressure.
Compensation
Remuneration will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, based on local market rates and KOICA’s internal compensation structure.
