CONTEXT
Guinness Cameroon S.A (GCSA) is a coordinated Supply and Demand business, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Diageo. It sits within Diageo Africa (AEM) as the second biggest GUINNESS market. Packaging hall operating with 3 high speed automated packaging lines operating at 1.7 million hectolitres.
Spirit blending and packaging line with a capacity of 22kbph. Highly driven market where asset care management have a huge impact on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and company profitability.
Site undertaking 4x8hr shift, with the three lines operating simultaneously.
Guinness Cameroon operates across a portfolio of products including Spirits, Stout, Lager, Ready to Drink and non-alcoholic products, and sells roughly 1 300 000hl per annum.
There is a growing expectation from our consumers and customers in Cameroon for high quality products, service and innovation
PURPOSE
Ensuring Supply Department has right competences in right place at the right time via efficient Capability Management process, tools and network.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree (Technical, Business, Supply Chain, HR, Science, Org. Development, or related areas.) +3 proven experience Capability Management in an industry.
- Train the trainer certification or equivalent
Experience Essential:
- Basic financial awareness, understanding of business drivers, budgeting processes.
- Proficient in use of standard business (MS Office) and Diageo packages.
- Project Management skills & experience
- Ability to lead people mentor and development
- Proactive structured problem-solving skills learnt through exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, TPM or Manex
- Good collaborators management
Desirable:
- Best in class people management practices
- Good technical understanding of production & supply chain management.
- Financially aware – Capex, R&M
ACCOUNTABILITIES
As Capability Lead:
- Builds Supply Department Capability Development Strategy out of Guinness Cameroun Hub
- Develop the Capability/Talent strategy for the Supply department
- Ensures Capability Development processes and tools are implemented (ie. job profiles, development paths, learning portfolios), induction plans, development paths and job specific recruiting guidelines
- Build new specific learning solutions e.g. courses, seminars, workshops, bootcamps, self-study, certification program
- Responsible for mentoring and other activities crafted to effectively assimilate new employees into the department
- Actively participate in career paths development
- Works with all management to ensure effective deployment of functional, supervisory and leadership development programs
- Works with all management to effectively implement the succession planning processes for all critical positions
