This role is located in Bamenda, reporting directly to the Programme Policy Officer.
The Role: Program Assistant (Monitoring & Evaluation)
As a Program Assistant (Monitoring & Evaluation), you will play a critical role in supporting WFP’s humanitarian efforts by performing specialized tasks to ensure effective delivery of assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute specialized tasks in line with WFP’s program policies and guidelines, supporting the effective delivery of assistance.
- Provide project management and general office support while ensuring adherence to WFP policies and targets.
- Collect and analyze data on food assistance, resource utilization, and program performance to assist in operational decision-making.
- Accurately record data, especially regarding food security and vulnerability assessments, following WFP’s corporate standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of ongoing projects.
- Support communications and coordination with local partners, NGOs, government bodies, and agencies.
- Serve as a point of contact for operational queries, providing assistance as needed.
- Ensure readiness for emergency responses by following WFP’s emergency preparedness protocols.
Qualifications and Experience for Program Assistant (Monitoring & Evaluation) – Bamenda, Cameroon
Education Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school education is required.
- A post-secondary certificate in a related functional area is highly desirable.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in facilitating communication with technical teams (e.g., nutrition, Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (VAM), etc.).
- Proven ability to contribute to program implementation.
- Exposure to or experience assisting with policy discussions.
