Brief Job Description:

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

To lead the development and management of remittance, interoperability products and banking services and to ensure alignment to business strategy, Product roadmap, profitability and continuous improvement

Detailed Job Description:

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain new and existing Fintech products and services
  • Own the product development process for Fintech products/services throughout the product lifecycle, from idea collection and requirement phase through to go-to-market execution and subsequent product management and maintenance
  • Own the Product management session
  • Support the definition & oversee the execution of Fintech Products & Services Plans
  • Deliver appropriate documentation including Business cases for new projects or whatever documentation required
  • Manage existing products and services to ensure continual update changes to match changing market conditions and requirements
  • Continually improve existing processes and procedures to enhance effectiveness, efficiency and performance
  • Provide input to the short-term plan (3 months – 1 year) for the Mobile Money Business and Business Plan
  • Evaluate strategic opportunities for product/service and technology in the Fintech industry
  • Recommend ways to exploit new opportunities to grow the business further
  • Build in-depth product and market knowledge
  • Assist in identifying and assessing market trends, taking local conditions into consideration
  • Deliver as per product roadmap within organizational priorities and priority changes
  • Provide input into product/Service scoping
  • Understand customer needs and input into the development and fine-tuning of systems accordingly
  • Contribute towards initiating change to continually improve all aspects of service delivery

Operational Delivery:

  • Support creation of sub-divisional strategy in line with overarching divisional goals with emphasis on client experience (internal/external)
  • Secure key partnerships
  • Lead and oversee the development of remittance products and services and to ensure alignment to business strategy, profitability and continuous improvement
  • Develop next services related to remittance
  • Support the Department on go-to-market, marketing, operations and implementation
  • Deliver and implement a convergent value proposition (remittance and GSM)
  • Ensure full Interconnection between the Department, other MNCs and the money transfer operators
  • Manage the full value chain of remittance from Europe/UK to Middle East and Africa with digital remittance experience
  • Make sure the department fastens corridor rollout and achieves delivery targets
  • Ensure the department introduce forward-looking solutions
  • Guarantee Mobile Money remittance business is compliant with regulation
  • Establish and maintain quality standards that will enhance the customer experience and cost efficiency.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Minimum 3 years degree in Engineering or related field (bachelor’s in computer science or management)
  • Strong computer skills

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Fintech environment; with experience in supervising others
  • Experience working in a medium or large organization
  • 3-5 years of product development and portfolio management, which includes technical and system management/ web development and applications

Trainings:

  • Any Mobile Money industry-related training is considered a plus
  • Digital Money Certification
  • Any other specifications:
  • Project Management Professional -PMP Certification
