Job advert: Area Growth Enablement Manager

A.P. Moller – Maersk is currently seeking an Area Growth Enablement Manager. Are you interested in joining a value-driven, commercially oriented international environment where we enable global trade every day?

As the Area Growth Enablement Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth opportunities in the assigned area for a specific product, leveraging your extensive commercial, technical, and market understanding.

In this role, you will play a vital part in business enablement and development. You will oversee operations related to new products, enhance the capabilities and knowledge of the sales team, and build their confidence to drive profitable growth with customers and integrated solutions. Additionally, you will proactively identify business opportunities in both the core and new verticals, staying ahead of market trends.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop opportunities for the product in coordination with the Area Head of LnS and Country Managers.
  • Oversee the operation and execution related to new products and opportunities.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for the product presented by the commercial teams.
  • Collaborate with the pricing team to provide pricing for opportunities brought forward by the commercial teams.
  • Maximize synergies and overall profitability of opportunities.
  • Participate in the RFI, RFQ, and RFP process with sales, ensuring comprehensive, competitive proposals that align with global, regional, and area product parameters.
  • Review contracts to ensure compliance with product technical standards and requirements.
  • Support new business pursuits by delivering sound business proposals on time, in collaboration with sales and internal stakeholders.
  • Approach new leads together with relevant sales colleagues, transferring opportunity ownership to sales in line with sales accountability.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to present the product solution in a simplified manner to both internal sales teams and customers.
  • Support sales in pursuing deals for relevant products through various channels such as inbound marketing leads, trade shows, and leveraging past relationships.
  • Emphasize that opportunity ownership lies with sales, not technical sales.
  • Lead sales calls to promote the product capabilities to target customers, leveraging their product knowledge.
  • Increase knowledge and awareness of the product among sales and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide rapid solutions and expertise to sales and customers.
  • Act as the voice of the customers within the product organization.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking someone who has:

  • +3 years of experience in sales or CX.
  • Knowledge of the logistics industry.
  • Fluent French and conversational English.
  • Experience in selling and providing solutions for technical service offerings.
  • Understanding of financial pricing.
  • In-depth understanding of local industry market trends within the specified geographic scope.
  • Understanding of customer industry needs and requirements for the respective product.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Familiarity with the commercial solution sales process.

We are looking for someone who will be accountable for:

  • Driving the pipeline portfolio across areas.
  • Creating centers of expertise and sales support.
  • Developing complex and integrated solution capabilities.
  • Driving margin growth to meet Area ambitions.
