Call for application: Qualified Fleet Managers

We are in search of experienced Fleet Managers to supervise the maintenance, compliance, and financial aspects of our vehicle operations. The role involves overseeing asset management, driver safety training, and budgeting, all crucial for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our company’s and partners’ vehicle fleets. Through managing maintenance activities, asset portfolios, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization, the Fleet Manager contributes significantly to our operational success and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Maintenance and Management:

  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to uphold fleet reliability and longevity.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel and external service providers to schedule repairs, inspections, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and utilization metrics to enhance fleet efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repair history.

Asset Management:

  • Oversee the acquisition, disposal, and replacement of fleet vehicles within budgetary limits and operational requirements.
  • Conduct regular assessments of fleet assets to evaluate their suitability for ongoing use or replacement.
  • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing for vehicle purchases and leases.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards governing fleet operations, including safety and environmental requirements.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to fleet policies and procedures.
  • Manage documentation and reporting obligations related to vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance.
Driver Training and Safety:
  • Develop and implement driver training programs to promote safe driving practices and reduce the risk of accidents and injuries.
  • Monitor driver performance and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and address any incidents or violations related to fleet operations in a timely and appropriate manner.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
  • Develop and manage the fleet budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize fleet operations and minimize expenses without compromising quality or safety.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field/experience that proves required knowledge.
  • Proven experience in fleet management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, compliance, and operational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, drivers,, external partners, and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to use a computer for basic office work and internet related tasks.
